Environmental Policy

About This Policy

This policy outlines Arc Inclusion’s commitment to minimising the environmental impact of our office-based activities.

Our Commitment

Arc Inclusion is committed to integrating environmental best practices into all our business activities. We acknowledge our environmental responsibilities and recognise our obligation to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment. We aim to achieve this through a policy of continual improvement in environmental performance. To this end, Arc Inclusion will ensure that:

  • Significant environmental risks associated with office-based activities are assessed and minimised. Furthermore, we will seek to reduce our overall impact on the environment wherever possible.
  • Suitable and sufficient information, instruction, training, and supervision are provided to employees regarding their environmental impact.
  • Employees utilise equipment and systems of work appropriately. Arc Inclusion will also take all reasonable steps to ensure that control measures are effectively implemented.
  • Adequate arrangements are in place to manage accidents and emergencies related to contamination, spillages, or other adverse environmental effects.
We will only retain your data for as long as necessary to perform these processes.

Our Procedure

The HR Team will:

  • Compile an inventory of all hazardous substances in our offices that could be released into the environment.
  • Identify operations that consume significant energy and develop strategies to reduce consumption.
  • Identify waste streams and implement measures to recycle and reuse materials where possible.
  • Review staff travel arrangements and promote car-sharing, the use of public transport, cycling, and remote working where practicable.
  • Ensure that existing control measures are adequately maintained, inspected, and tested by qualified professionals.
  • Ensure employees are informed about arrangements and procedures in place to address accidents, incidents, spillages, and emergencies in all office locations.
  • Implement oversight to ensure employees effectively use control measures.
  • Review operations involving resource usage, such as paper consumption, and identify opportunities to reduce usage and promote sustainability.
